Bars & Tone: Film 233 Short Film Production

April 13, 2008 by Mica Prazak

My Film 233 5 Minute film project.

Essentially, I wanted to explore the erratic nature of dreams.

Peter has a good life. He has a … all ยป loving girlfriend. But I wanted to show how dreams create situations and people that you didn’t belong in. Kayla and Peter’s characters have never met in real life, it is just a figment of his imagination.

The first half by its purpose, should be dull and predictable. Dreams aren’t always exciting.

As he states, at the beginning of the dream he is in control. And then he loses it.

Happy 21st Birthday Jessica Hannon

December 1, 2007 by Mica Prazak

She is a dear friend of mine and many others. The sheer number of people that wanted to be a part of this, only showcases the fondness people have for her.

I’m honoured to be a part of her life.

A Question to the Reader

June 13, 2007 by Mica Prazak

Now, I’m not much of a webmaster, for this I owe my entire online library to my older brother Milan. He keeps this online “ship” a-floating.

In the wake of the ‘Lonely Evening’ video, and the others to soon follow, I have observed that my favourite part of having a website online, is the reaction that follows the release of an official video. Whether the reviews are positive or negative, it is the most exciting time for Papa Fly Productions. I want to thank the loyal and honest posters ( Milan, Tristan, B, R.K., Kwak in general) who keep the interactivity of this website alive.

Which is what I am here to talk about.

As an example, the Strokes (my favourite band) have completed their tour, and going on a four year break. Instead of cutting themselves off completely, they have included a new feature on their glorious new website. It is called ASK ME ANYTHING ( also the name of their song on the First Impressions of Earth album) and fans are able to email questions, which every member of the band will eventually answer. I like the idea that, even though they are not going to create any new material for a long period of time, they still wish to remain interactive with their fans.

I emailed the question, “what is your favourite song to play live?” I truly am curious.

I want to encourage interaction of this site. This does not a message board, because that is not original. So I am guessing, I am asking you guys what do you think the site could use?

Do you have a creative way to have people communicate on a website? It is an intriguing idea, and I am not going to half ass it. I appreciate every post that is posted (except the breast enlargement ones, flattering as it seems) and I only want to keep this online community alive.

At least between, the videos. Any ideas? Please post.

A Lonely Evening

This song is dedicated to a girl I love so incredibly dearly. That simply won’t change.

The music in this video is an original piece by a friend of mine, Matt Mackay. For long time viewers, he plays bass in the “NYC Cops” video I made, and also plays the principal in the “I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor” video. A brilliant piece of work.

A lot of new stuff is on its way.

Promoting Public Affection

May 6, 2007 by Mica Prazak

I managed to make a two hour wait in front of the Blarney Stone mildly entertaining. Little did I know, that I was being filmed the entire time, by a complete stranger. The impact YouTube is having on modern society is rather incredible.

I hope you guys are all experiencing love in your lives.
